How To Donate Your Car To Charity Last Minute

With the end of the year fast approaching, you may be wondering if you can still donate a car this year and receive a tax deduction. The good news is, Vehicles For Veterans is here to help you get a 2016 tax deduction all the way up to 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 31. Even those who do things last-minute can still get in on a 2016 tax deduction this year.

If you've never donated a car before, the process can seem daunting from the outside. However, we're here to make it easier than ever to donate a car. If you have an unwanted vehicle and you've done this before, just call 1-855-811-4838 or donate online to get started.

Donate Your Car In A Matter Of Minutes

If you're not sure where to start, just follow these easy steps and it will be done in no time!

  • Get in touch with us by calling 1-855-811-4838 or filling in your vehicle information on our online form. If you choose to call, one of our donation representatives will be able to help with any questions you have right away. Whether you have questions about your title or you're not sure if we can accept your car in the condition it's in, we can help! Our call center will also schedule a time for your car to be picked up.
  • If you donate with our online form, one of our donation representatives will contact you within 24 hours of the next business day to arrange your vehicle pick up. Even if your vehicle is picked up in the New Year, the donation still gives you a 2016 tax deduction if we receive your call or online form by 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 31.
  • After we arrange your pick up time, your vehicle will be towed away at no charge. Just let us know where we can pick it up and we'll take care of everything else.
  • You'll receive a tax deductible receipt in the mail. Save this so you can use it to claim a deduction on your 2016 taxes. If you don't make the cut-off for a 2016 deduction, don't worry. Your donation in the New Year will simply give you a deduction for your 2017 taxes.

Help Veterans By Donating A Car

The end of the year is the most popular time for giving. Not only is it the last chance to make a tax deductible donation, it's also a time when we think about giving back to others to show we're thinking about them during the holiday season. When you donate a car to Vehicles For Veterans, you'll feel great knowing the proceeds from your donation go to veterans' charities that help give our nation's vets a better life. Give back just by donating your car today!
