Great Veterans Events Coming To Tennessee In August

It’s always tough to find events in August. The kids are getting ready to go back to school and you are trying to find things to do. If you are in Tennessee there are some great events to support our veterans throughout the month of August!

“Veterans Home Gala” For The West Tennessee Veterans Home

Looking for a great date night idea? The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, partnered with the West Tennessee Veterans Home Gala Committee, will help raise money to fund the State Veterans Home in west Tennessee. The event will be located at the Great Hall and Conference Center, Germantown, Tenn. The night will include:

  • Reception and cocktails starting at 5:30 p.m. with dinner to be served at 7 p.m.
  • There will be a few guest speakers, including Senator Mark Green.
  • Silent auction and live auction; one of the featured items in the live auction is a Thomas Kincaid “Gardens Beyond Spring Gate” painting.
  • They would like everyone in business attire/or semi-formal. They would like all Armed Force members in their Class A uniforms.
  • Individual Seating Level: includes one ticket, one seat and one dinner ticket for $100.
  • If you would like to become a sponsor, you can sponsor a table. This will include: ten entry tickets, ten seats and dinner tickets for $750.

You can find tickets for the Gala here or at Event Brite.

Welcome Home Veterans Parade

This is a fantastic family event August 27 at 9 a.m. in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. It is a great event to show your support to the local veterans. The parade will be full of floats, marching bands and local dignitaries. Many veterans will be in the parade and also walking during the parade. The parade will go north down Dollywood Lane and ending Jake Thomas Road at 11 a.m.
