Amazing Opportunities For Wisconsin Veterans

Amazing Opportunities For Wisconsin Veterans

Wisconsin has two great events coming up this July, Wisconsin Vets Day/Family Day and Veterans Benefit Day. Both of these events are great for veterans, family members and for people to show support.

Wisconsin Vets Day/Family Day

On July 16 there will be a Wisconsin Vets Day and Family Day event held at the Union Grove Veterans Home. This event is a fantastic way to show support for veterans and family members. This would be a great way to give back to U.S. heroes. You can grab some lunch, and sit with a veteran and listen to their stories. If you would like to volunteer at the event or would like to donate you can do so online. All the proceeds go to Vets Day/Family Day; the donations will help pay for live music, food and much needed personal items for the vets. Come out to this wonderful event and show your support!

Veterans Benefit Day

If you or any of your family members are a veteran, this is an awesome opportunity for everyone. The Tomah Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center is teaming up with Adams County Veterans Service office to host a veteran benefit fair. The benefit fair will be held July 30, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Adams County Community Center in Wisconsin.

This day is going to be filled with information about the many benefits available to Veterans through the VA, State, County, other organizations and programs. There will be many staff at the location that will be ready and willing to enroll eligible veterans for care.

There will also be many booths with information about: County Veterans Service Officers, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Substance Abuse, Dental, enrollment/eligibility for programs SSVF, housing authority, HUD-VASH, Judicare, WDVA, transportation, aging and disability center and many more.

If you need any more information about the benefits fair, you can contact phone Amanda Steinhoff by email, or by calling (608) 372-3971 ext. 64201.

Can’t Make These Events?

We have a great opportunity for you to give back to veterans. If you have a car that is sitting around and taking up space, you can donate it to Vehicles For Veterans. We are 501(c)(3) car donation program and this means that your donation is fully tax deductible. Whether your car still runs or has seen better days, we will come pick it up from any location for free. We know trying to sell a car can be a lot of work, so we make donating easy. You can fill out our online donation form or call 1-855-811-4838. What a great way to give back and get a fantastic tax refund!
